Harewood Hero - Karl Jackon - Undefeated Sprint Champion in RC Built Evo 9

Congratulations go to Karl Jackon for his return to winning ways, running so far unbeaten throughout the Harrogate Audi Harwood Speed Hill Climb Championship 2008 in the Large Capacity Saloon Car Class, following on from his Championship Victory in the 2007 Series.


Karl has been continuing to run in his RC Developments built 550hp Mitsubishi Evo 9 GT in the championship with great success, cleaning up in every round he has entered, undefeated in his class. The championship is held in conjunction with the British Automobile Racing Club (BARC) at Harewood, near Leeds, over 10 weekend rounds.


Karl's Evo 9 features an RC Developments 2.4L Stroker Engine along with Custom Turbocharger Kit, and Drenth Dog Mission Gearbox. Built by Andy Clark and Clive Seddon of RC Development,s the car produces 550hp on Pump Fuel, fully mapped in house on AEM EMS Engine Management. Suspension and Chassis Development work has all been carried out by RC Developments, with the recent inclusion of Active Centre Differential Controller, and 1.5way Front Diff.














April 13th 2008 marked the Spring National Meeting, where throughout challenging conditions, Karl stamped his mark on the opening round, taking the lead over David Marshall in the Peugeot 205 GTi.

Karl's most recent outing gained him further success, at the 2nd MSA Meeting at Harewood, on the 5th of July, who drove to victory throughout challenging wet conditions, with a 69.44s

The next round of the Harrogate Audi Harewood Hill Climb Championship is the Montague Burton Trophy on August 3rd.
