Gary Istead Evo 8 MR - RC Drop-In Forged Piston/Rod Pack - 445hp - Stock Turbo!

Gary Istead's Evo 8 MR received an RC Developments tune this week, with the inclusion of the 'RC Developments Drop-In Forged Piston & Rod Package'. This package, intended for owners with Evo's with less than 30,000 miles, allows the fitment of specially designed, custom RC Developments Forged Pistons and Con-Rods, without the necessity to re-bore the block, nor even the labour to remove the engine from the car. The Drop-In Pack can then set the foundations for 400hp+ tunes, as with Gary's car.

The car was mapped by Andy Clark on Apexi Power FC De-Jetro, with stock fuel injectors, stock MR Camshafts and stock MR Turbocharger, and at 1.75bar produced circa 445bhp at the flywheel, with the limitations at that point being the stock intercooler and fueling system.
